Luc seeks atonement for the actions that banished him from his home. Living as a priest in a small town, he strives to show how much he’s changed with the hope that one day he can return to his family.
Haunted by the guilt that destroyed her family, Rose has shut her heart off. She vows to never let anyone near again lest she hurt them. When she meets Luc, she can’t deny the draw she feels to him.
But the past is not easily forgotten. When Luc’s past finds him, Rose is caught in the middle. Forced to face who he used to be, Luc must decide if he’s willing to give up his chance at redemption to save Rose. But doing so means he won’t be able to hide who he is. Will Rose be able to reconcile the man she knows with the devil he used to be? Or are the mistakes of the past too damning?

Interview with Patricia Josephine
Hi Patricia! Welcome to Bookish Michelle and here, we have some questions for you!
What inspires you to write Mistakes of the Past?
I always like the idea of writing a story from the villain's point of view. With Mistakes, I wondered what if the bad guy changed his mind and wanted to make amends. How would he go about it? Would his past end up biting him in the butt? It's the ultimate redemption story, and we love characters who go through those kinds of journeys.
What's your next project?
I'm bouncing between stories right now. I have a YA post-apocalyptic novel called Leaves of Fall I'm rewriting. I have a sequel to Mistakes of the Past that I'm pecking at. The plot hasn't solidified just yet. Same is for the sequel to my novel, Abducted Life. I'm bouncing between them all, and when I'm feeling lazy, but really want to feel like I haven't wasted the day, I edit a New Adult Urban fantasy called The Incubus and the Asexual.
Tell us about a quirky or unique habit that you have.
I stick my tongue out when I'm really concentrating. Especially playing a video game.
Describe your ideal romantic date.
My hubby, grilled cheese sandwiches, and Doctor Who.
What is one of your favourite quotes?
Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
